In Germany, as well as in Canada, Uruguay, Thailand and individual states in the USA, cannabis cultivation is now legal. In Germany, it is now possible to grow up to three female plants, possess up to 50g and carry up to 25g in public places.

  • Cannabis clubs

    Cannabis cultivation is only allowed in an enclosed space that is not open to the public. Cannabis is sold in licensed clubs: Cannabis is distributed through so-called cannabis clubs. These are not allowed to advertise and must comply with certain rules on the protection of children and young people.

  • Cannabis cultivation

    Private cultivation of cannabis is allowed only in a small amount. Adults are allowed to grow up to three female flowering plants, which must be protected from access by children and adolescents.

  • Consumption rules

    Consumption in public is restricted: Consumption of cannabis is prohibited in public when schools or daycare centers are nearby. It is not permitted to smoke pot in pedestrian zones between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

  • Age restriction

    Cultivation, possession and consumption of cannabis is only allowed for adults 18 years and older.
