Product details
Origin: Cayenne chili originates from the city of Cayenne in Guyana, South America.
It grows multi-stemmed, up to 80 cm tall and medium-fast.
Its thin-fleshed fruits are 5 - 15 cm long and pointed, bright red when ripe and very sharp.
The spiciness is 30,000 - 50,000 Scoville, which according to Wilbur Scoville corresponds to spiciness level 6 - 8 = very hot.
The plant is an annual.
Sowing: One to two seeds per PlantPlug.
Germination period: first seedlings after 14 - 28 days
Germination temperature: optimum 22 - 25°C, press on the surface (light germinator)
Ideal room temperature: 22 - 28°C.
Water requirement: Medium.

Placing the GreenBox in a well-ventilated place can prevent fungal diseases.
The plant flowers after approx. 2 - 3 months. Lightly shaking the plant or transferring pollen by hand with a finger/cotton bud/brush increases the fertilization rate.
Usually 5 - 6 harvests are possible. They ripen from green to red and grow to a maximum length of 15 cm. Do not tear off the fruits, but cut them when they have reached the typical red color.
Tip: For salsas, sauces and dips. The chillies are very easy to dry and are ideal for the spice grinder.

Please wash your hands thoroughly after any contact with the chili plant! Chili can irritate the eyes and nose on contact due to its pungency.
Only ripe fruits are edible! Other parts of the plants are not suitable for consumption.
Hot chilies are not suitable for children, pregnant women, sick people and animals.
