The fleshy leaves of watercress are rich in vitamin C and iron. Their peppery, spicy flavor enhances soups, sandwiches and dips. Grows quickly.

Product details
Perennial plant. Used as a spice and medicinal plant. Also known as watercress, it grows in slow-flowing waters such as streams, rivers, ditches and springs. Recognizable white corymb-like flowers. The plant usually grows enviously up to 30- 90 cm.
Several seeds can be placed in one PlantPlug. Germinates after approx. 2 weeks. Ideal room temperature: 18 - 30 °C.
First harvest after approx. 6 weeks. Regular pruning promotes strong growth and prevents flower formation. However, the plant should not be cut down completely. The ideal time to harvest is before flowering, otherwise the watercress loses its aroma. The flowers are edible and spicy.
