As microgreens are basically seedlings, sprouts and young plants of various edible vegetables, they have a much higher concentration of nutrients and vitamins than full-grown plants. They therefore contain everything the plant needs to enable it to grow strongly.
They are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other nutrientsthat are important for a healthy and balanced diet. In addition, they can help reduce the risk of certain diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Watering is particularly easy with our new hemp-linen substrate. Check the moisture level of the substrate every 1-2 days and add water if necessary to keep it evenly moist. The hemp-linen substrate stores water optimally and ensures even growth. You can harvest and enjoy your microgreens after just 5-9 days. Make sure to distribute the water carefully and evenly to achieve the best result.
Rest assured - that's not it! What you see are small root hairs, which are a sign of healthy plant growth.
Root hairs help the plant to absorb water and nutrients better and occur especially in the moist environment of the substrate. If it still smells musty or another sticky substance forms, please check the ventilation and water to make sure everything is running optimally.
Yes, my green padawan! Thanks to the modular design of the GreenBox, you can easily combine microgreens and PlantPlugs. With the microgreens insert on one side, there is enough space to grow four PlantPlugs of your choice on the other half. Perfect for a versatile harvest in your smart garden
Each plant has different germination and growth phases, which can lead to an uneven plant height. However, there is no need to worry - the taller and faster microgreens will not negatively affect the smaller ones. For best results, make sure to:
1. Water the pads evenly from above the first time so that all seeds are moist.
2. Keep the pads under the supplied growing cover for the first two days (germination phase).
3. Keep the pads evenly moist throughout the growing period.
4. Even lighting - the GreenBox ensures this!
Once your microgreens are ready (after about 5-9 days), take a square from the microgreens tray and cut the plants directly above the substrate with sharp scissors or a small kitchen knife.
For the best taste and highest nutrient content, we recommend harvesting the microgreens directly before eating. This keeps the vitamins and minerals fresh and fully preserved.
Yes, our hemp linen pads are completely biodegradable and can be disposed of either in organic waste or in a composter. This way, you can easily return them to the natural nutrient cycle - in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way
Of course! You can combine the pads with different varieties. This way, one variety grows on each pad and you can still enjoy a diverse selection of microgreens. Perfect for a varied harvest
