An 8-pack of U-Plates is already included with the GreenBox.
The U-Plates are designed to prevent the growth of algae and mold on the surface of the moist and light-exposed PlantPlug.
The U-Plates should be placed on the substrate surface after sowing and using the PlantPlugs in the planting areas. The seeds still receive sufficient light. It does not matter which side of the U-Plate faces upwards.
The U-plates should cover the substrate surface until the plant has formed enough leaves to overshadow the surface on its own. The U-plates can then be removed.
