Doubly Awarded: GreenBox Impresses FAZ and Stiftung Warentest

We are very pleased that our GreenBox has been positively reviewed twice in independent tests this year. In November 2025, we were awarded as test winner by the FAZ Kaufkompass and already in April 2025, the GreenBox impressed at Stiftung Warentest.

FAZ Kaufkompass: "The best indoor garden"

The FAZ Kaufkompass tested eight indoor gardens in November 2025. The result: The BerlinGreen GreenBox Entry Deluxe Bundle is the test winner.

The testers' conclusion: The GreenBox is "the best choice for most". Particularly highlighted were:

Growth: The GreenBox scores with "very lush herb growth".
Fairness: In contrast to many capsule systems from other manufacturers, our PlantPlugs and the possibility to use your own seeds cost-effectively are positively rated.
Features & Design: The European birch casing and smart app control impressed in the practical test.

Silver at Stiftung Warentest – Gold for Growth

Already in April 2025, Stiftung Warentest (Issue 4/2025) tested seven smart indoor gardens. The GreenBox secured 2nd place with the quality rating GOOD (2.2).

We are particularly proud of the sub-score in the most important category: Function & Growth. Here we received a "Very Good" (1.4). The quality of our seeds was also rated as the best in the test (with double-plus).

Why "only" 2nd place?
Transparency is important to us: Compared to the test winner, our instruction manual at the time was rated slightly worse, and our GreenBox, due to its natural wood design, is slightly harder to clean than plastic devices. However, the GreenBox performs excellently in terms of processing, protection against water damage, and commissioning. Also positive: The GreenBox is the cheapest model for replenishment costs.
